It's been 20 years since our founders first gathered to address the needs of people with HIV/AIDS and substance abuse issues. Since then, we've opened five locations in three boroughs and expanded our mission to include all the homeless, the underserved, and those at risk.
In 20 years, AIDS has changed. Therapies and medicines have vastly improved. Our clients have also changed, as have their medical and psychological needs. HELP/PSI has responded to these changes by evolving to meet those needs. The passion that inspired our founders is still there, every day, as each staff person interacts with clients. At all our locations, clients fill our halls with work and activity as we help them reach healthier lives. None of us can ever, not for a moment, forget why we're involved with HELP/PSI.
In the coming year, we will continue to expand our services to ensure that more New Yorkers have access to the help they desperately need. We will strengthen our community relations as we will rely on community involvement to reach new clients.
Our Mission statement at HELP/PSI Services Corp. and HELP/PSI Inc. is "Building Hope and Empowering Change." Each day we see these miracles happen.
