POSITION: Account Manager, Outreach
LOCATION: Positions covering Brooklyn, Queens or Bronx Territories
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Account Manager, Outreach is responsible for creating, implementing and managing a strategic plan with the team of Outreach Workers to perpetually identify HELP/PSI as a leader in providing comprehensive, holistic, client-centered services to people living with HIV/AIDS who have a history of chemical dependency. The Account Manager, Outreach will assist in fostering relationships with targeted integrated delivery systems, hospitals, rehab centers, syringe exchange programs, other COBRA programs and community based organizations and any other entities that have a need for HELP/PSI services. This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President, Business Development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Primarily responsible for interface with all outside providers including but not limited to hospitals, rehab centers, syringe exchange programs, other COBRA programs and community based organizations ensuring that all transitional connections occur in an effective manner
- Responsible for the coordination of all territory -wide outreach to ensure that the various program censuses are maintained and that enrollment opportunities are maximized
- Manages development and implementation of business development and customer service strategies with existing and potentially new referrers
- Develop internal partnerships with the COBRA Programs, the Residential Healthcare Facility, the Adult Day Health Care Programs and the Primary Care Clinics
- Manage, coach and assist the Outreach Team in developing relationships with referral sources to increase enrollment across all programs
- Regularly audit case records of Outreach Workers and ensure timely and accurate completion and submission of all required documentation
- Responsible for the performance of the Outreach Workers by coaching, coordinating and monitoring the team on building relationships with key stake-holders and other community partners to increase enrollment and support retention efforts
- Locate and participate in or develop Festivals, Health Fairs, Town Hall Meeting on Health and other events for marketing and branding opportunities. Evening and weekend work may be required
- Respond to inquiries from clients, members of the community, providers and other sites to assist with complaint resolution, explanation of Programs, and community relations
- Regularly meet with Business Development Leaders to discuss new marketing and promotional sites developed, marketing support needs, to review and analyze enrollment trends, disenrollment reports, industry forecast, competitive reports and new joint promotional efforts with referral sources
- Support the goals, objectives and mission statement set forth by the Board of Directors and the administration
- Attends all mandatory in-service programs including fire safety, infection control, clinical HIV/AIDS manifestations, transmission, prevention, psychosocial issues, confidentiality and clients’ rights

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of related experience. Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and substance abuse. Must be extremely well-organized with a dedication to detail and a respect for deadlines. Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory/managerial experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to work as a mutually supportive team member as well as take independent initiative. Demonstrated experience cultivating relations with other community based organizations. Must be a proactive, strategic thinker with excellent communications skills. Comfort with teaching and/or presenting to large groups. Ability to handle a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Evening and weekend work may be required. Driver’s license required.
