In April 2010, HELP/PSI expanded its healthcare focus to include oral health and opened its first dental center. This state-of-the-art facility was made possible with funding from the New York State Health Care Efficiency and Affordability Law (HEAL) and provided HELP/PSI with the fund to install four dental chairs, individual x-ray stations at each chair, and a panoramic x-ray machine for a full mouth series with less radiation.
The Dental Center provides the following services:
- Preventive Dental Care
- Restorative Dental Care
- Periodontal Therapy
- Prosthetic Care
- Endontic Therapy
- Surgical Procedures
- Management of Dral Disease Associated with HIV
CRITERIA TO PARTICIPATE IN HELP/PSI’S DENTAL CLINIC
- 18 years or older
- Insurance eligibility, or ability to pay for services on a sliding scale
